Steam Trap Maintenance
To minimize energy costs and maximize production efficiency, it is important to properly maintain steam traps. Leaking traps can result in significant steam losses, and traps that do not work properly can waterlog machinery and heating apparatus and result in loss of capacity.
CBR offers programs for steam trap servicing on a regular basis. This includes both inspection and cleaning. In general, the higher the operating pressure of a system, the more frequent the inspections should be. If inspection reveals that a minimal or negligible temperature differential exists between the inlet and outlet of a trap, this means that the trap is leaking, and we can repair or replace it.
